So more and more Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites have been seeing an increase in the number of viruses. Here are some simple steps to keep your account from being part of the problem.
Step 1: Don’t click on links until you know what they are to. Basically if it has a link, especially in the subject line, be wary.
Step 2: Search out the subject line text and/or link. Simply put the subject line of the text into google (highlight it, cut and paste) and you will see a list of sites that are shouting for you to not click your virus infected Facebook link.
Step 3: Delete any messages that are in your inbox that you know are infected.
That’s it. Short and sweet. Have a nice day and be cautious!

Anadin,
It really depends what virus you got on Facebook. The easiest way to find out which one you have is to copy the subject line of the Facebook message that you clicked on and search for it on Google or some other search engine. If it’s “koobface” then run a virus scan.
Also change your password.
Look at our computer security post too. It has our current favorite, and free, anti-virus/malware/adware/etc. tools do use too. Bit Defender online scanner is always a good start.
Yahoo answers also has an ok list of how to control it but it’s a bit over the top http://tiny.cc/fZi65
Good luck.
